Thank you for registering your business/organization to participate in Commute Another Way Week 2008, the biggest transportation event in New England! We've changed a few things this year to be more efficient and economical. But it's still the same CAWWwith lots of good, clean fun!

As always, it is NOT necessary to get a T-shirt to participate and be counted.
Remember: There are no sign-up cards or tally sheets this year. You can track sign-ups and T-shirt ordering via an online report. Log-in above.

We will not be mailing out display T-shirts. The T-shirt design appears online.
We will also not be distributing participant sign-up cards.
Employers may register their participating employess online. See "Sign Up!"

EMPLOYER CHECKLIST OF "TO DO" ITEMS
Promote Commute Another Way Week! It's all about healthy, economical and environmentally-friendly commuting options: carpools, vanpools, transit, bicycling, walking.
Display posters and place participant sign-up forms in prominent locations (bulletin boards, lunchroom, fitness center etc.) at your workplace. Be sure employees know who to contact for information or to register for CAWW at your company.
Promote the GO MAINE web site www.gomaine.org as a commuting information resource.
Register employees/co-workers, take T-shirt orders and payment. Participating "employees" are requested to self-register online.
And remember… T-shirts are NOT required to participate in CAWW!
Communicate event information to your employees/co-workers (send e-mails, memos or write a newsletter article-we have e-samples if you need them).
Challenge departments within your company to participate, or challenge a neighboring business! Encourage carpooling among co-workers, riding the bus, bicycling into work…
Make plans for a rally, breakfast or lunch on or around CAWW. Consider offering some small prizes as a reward for participating… whatever works at your company to recognize your employees for their efforts for CAWW!
Continue to register employees/co-workers, and encourage others who want to participate but haven't signed up yet to fill out a sign-up card. Send out a reminder e-mail message or memo.
Order CAWW T-Shirts online! Employer bulk T-shirt order deadline (guaranteed on-time delivery) is Friday, May 2nd. Additional smaller orders (at bulk price) may be placed after that date, and will most likely be delievered prior to the event, but are not guaranteed.
Remember: All CAWD employer coordinators and participants will be entered to win great prizes! Please mail a copy of your tally form to GO MAINE in order to enter your participating employees.
Week of May 12-16: Your T-shirt order will be mailed to you. If you have any questions on your T-order, please call GO MAINE at 800-280-7433.
Commute Another Way Week, May 12-16 : Hold a rally, breakfast, or lunch to remind participants about the event and to distribute T-shirts and buttons. Put on your T-shirts and green stickers, "Commute Another Way" and have fun!
