Not everyone needs a car every day, and car sharing is a great way for commuters and others to have the occasional use of a vehicle. Car sharing is a great way for people to rent cars for short periods of time, often by the hour.
Maine has two car sharing options: ZipCar, which offers service in Biddeford and on the campuses of Bates, Bowdoin and Colby colleges; and U-Car, which operates in Portland.
